Theory ZYX states that if the objective is short term results, every effort should be made to devise a plan that does not call for culture change.  For short term results, culture change should be a part of the strategy only if there is no other alternative.  In such a case, the plan must not underestimate the difficulty of culture change over a short period and must specifically identify the measures to overcome the difficulties of culture change.


Theory ZYX further states that to be successful at change, organizational context is very important, and therefore, Theory ZYX calls for the customization of the details of the framework within the prescribed boundaries for each specific situation.
